Intrigue Designs the ArtMed Way
By Intrigue
The Old Site
We began re-designing ArtMed by looking at their old site. Their main reason for coming in to have a new site built was to expand on what they currently had.
They liked the number of images, and the conditions and treatments being the focus of the site, but they wanted more powerful visuals.
They liked the white space, but there was too much of it, making it less than personal. With an impending move to a new clinic location, now was the time to give the site a facelift.
Coming in equipped with a full site map laid out and another website for us to reference for design, we quickly laid out each portion of the homepage design. Spending our time discussing the order in which each section would appear and the overall style and aesthetic they were looking for.
The New Site
Drawing on the design conversation that we had in our initial meeting, as well as the inspiration website they brought in for our reference, we were able to create a full homepage design that embraced everything on their aesthetic checklist.
- Bigger, more personal and professional imagery.
- Emphasis on the conditions and treatments they offer.
- Showcasing the friendly and experienced staff.
We kept the conditions and treatment content scroller below the slider image, but replaced the stock photos that had flat white backgrounds with photos showing more realistic-looking people who were outside the traditional white-wall photo template.
We added more content to the homepage, including a blog feature section called ‘The ArtMed Way’, an email newsletter sign-up, and an Instagram feed that automatically populates with their latest posts.

Awesome blog Nicole. I love what a difference adding their professionally done photos makes to the design. Stock photos are great, but who wouldn’t want to see the real people behind the business? Great work!
